Ramon Ayala is a Mexican-American accordionist and composer who has become one of the most renowned and celebrated artists of traditional norteño and conjunto music within Mexico and the United States. Drawing from both countries' cultural traditions, Ayala has created a distinct style of Tejano and conjunto music that has left a lasting influence across Latin America and beyond. Beginning his career in music schools in Northern Mexico, Ayala has since released over 200 studio albums and collaborated with numerous other regional and national Latin music groups. He has also made several theatrical and television appearances throughout his long-standing career. Throughout his career, Ayala has won multiple awards and honors, such as nine Latin Music Grammy Awards and a Lifetime Achievement Award.
