Ricchi E Poveri are an Italian pop group formed in 1968. The group consists of Franco Gatti, Angela Brambati, Angelo Sotgiu and Angelo Vismara. They became very popular in Italy and abroad in the early 1970s and began performing their songs in English. Ricchi E Poveri have released many hits over the years such as 'Mamma Maria', 'Cosa Sei' and 'Sarà Perché Ti Amo', achieving number one status in many countries. In 1991 they represented Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest and achieved 4th place. Ricchi E Poveri have continued to be popular over the past decades, with their songs being used in tv shows and films. They have sold over 20 million units worldwide and continue to tour the world to this day.
