Shirley Caesar is a gospel singer and preacher who has had a long and illustrious career setting the standard for spiritual music, spanning more than half a century. She is an 11-time Grammy winner and was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2005. Caesar first began singing gospel music as a child, joining The Caravans in the 1950s and recording her own solo albums. During her career, Caesar has been repeatedly honored with awards, including two Stellar Awards, three Grammy Lifetime Achievement Awards, three NAACP Image Awards, and the Dr. Bobby Jones Legends Award. Caesar's songs have been featured in films, television shows, and musicals, such as The Blind Side, Pitbull's "Options," and the Broadway special, Tapestry Revisited. Today, Caesar still releases music, including her 2018 album Fill This House.
