Skyhooks were an influential Australian rock band formed in Melbourne in 1973. This band was led by singer-songwriter and guitarist Greg Macainsh. They had a career that spanned more than 10 years between 1973 and 1984. Skyhooks released four studio albums and created several iconic hits such as Horror Movie, Ego Is Not A Dirty Word, You Just Like Me 'Cause I'm Good in Bed and Women in Uniform which were all top 10 hits in Australia. Skyhooks focused their music on satirical lyrics and themes which were seen as controversial. They were one of the most successful Australian acts of the 1970s and remain an important influence on Australian rock music.
