Steve Balbi is an Australian singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who has been active in the music industry since the late 1980s. Originally part of the rock band Noiseworks, Balbi has gone on to establish himself as a successful solo artist, amassing an impressive discography which includes seven studio albums, three EPs and a live album. His solo work encompasses a wide variety of musical genres including rock, blues, folk, jazz and country, while his songwriting often focuses on issues of identity, love and frustration. Balbi has also written and produced music for popular television shows such as Home and Away, Cybergirl and Rescue All Stars. In 2018, he received a nomination for the NSW Music Awards Long Service Award in recognition of his career achievements.
