Stryper tickets

Stryper is an American Christian metal band from Orange County, California. Formed in 1983, they are notable for being the first overtly Christian heavy metal band. Throughout the mid to late 1980s they achieved much success as a commercial hair metal band, scoring multiple top 10 hits on US mainstream and Christian rock radio. Stryper gained relevancy and notoriety in the 80s for their hit singles, "Calling On You" and "Free".

The band disbanded in 1992 but reunited 13 years later in 2005. Since then, they have released several more albums of both new material and classics and they continue to tour and perform. They have become a strong influence in the Christian rock scene, compared by some to the Beatles. Stryper has been nominated for four Grammy Awards and continues to produce music today, bringing a unique heavy metal/glam rock sound to Christian music.
