About The High Kings

The High Kings are an Irish-American folk music group consisting of four members: Finbarr Clancy, Brian Dunphy, Darren Holden, and Martin Furey. Formed in 2008, the group are mainly known for performing traditional Irish music, as well as their own original songs. Their debut album, Memories of Johnny, was released in 2008, followed by The High Kings in 2010 which topped the Irish and UK charts. Their third album, Friends for Life, was nominated for an Irish News and Entertainment Award for Best Traditional Album in 2011. As well as recording their own albums, The High Kings have played live across the world, in countries including Germany, South Africa, and the United States of America. The band continues to be popular, releasing their most recent album, Decade, in 2018.
