About The Primitives
The Primitives are a British indie rock band formed in Coventry, England in 1984. Known for their jangly guitar pop, they began their career in the 80’s UK indie scene, and had some commercial success in the late 80's, most notably with their 1988 single "Crash". The Primitives have released six studio albums over the years, and received extensive radio airplay. The band's music has been praised for its melodic garage rock sound and upbeat tempo. Their sound has been compared to the likes of The Bangles, The Proclaimers and the Jesus and Mary Chain. The Primitives have performed on numerous TV shows in the UK and North America including Top of the Pops and The Late Show. Today, they continue to play live shows around the world.
