The Scientists tickets

The Scientists are an Australian post-punk band founded in Perth in 1978. They band released four highly influential albums throughout the 1980s before splitting up in 1987. The Scientists were known for their unique brand of punk and garage rock utilizing fuzz-effect guitars, echo-laden vocals and unorthodox drumming. They combined punk energy with classic garage rock intensity and production, giving them a singular sound that has influenced generations of musicians. Their 1981 album Blood Red River is especially influential; Sonic Youth, Mudhoney and Nirvana all cited the album as a major inspiration for their sound. The Scientists reunited in 2013, playing festival dates around the world and releasing the critically-acclaimed album Negativity in 2016.
