About The Stamps
The Stamps were an American vocal group founded in 1962 in Camden, Arkansas. They are best-known for their work with Elvis Presley from 1969-1972, known as “The Stamps Quartet”. In addition to working with Elvis, they had hits of their own in the late 1960s and 1970s, including "You Sure Can Dance", "Sparkin' My Love" and "If You're Ready". They were first signed by Liberty Records, and had other releases on Hi Records and Warner Brothers. The Stamps released two albums, both on Monument Records, as well as appearing in Elvis' shows and performing in his concerts. The group disbanded in 1973, but reunited several times for benefit performances from1983-1990.
