The Templars are a Swedish metal band formed in Stockholm in 1990. The band has released five studio albums, two EPs, and two live albums, along with several singles and music videos. The Templars' music style varies, ranging from metal and hard rock to blues and folk. The band's lyrics are primarily in English, but have also been sung in Swedish, Spanish, French, and Finnish.

The Templars have opened for and shared the stage with well-known acts such as Motörhead, Iron Maiden, and Metallica. They have played gigs all over Europe and toured the United States three times. The band also performed at major festivals like Download Festival, Sweden Rock Festival, and Wacken Open Air.

In recent years, The Templars have taken a break from performing and recording, but continue to engage with their fans through Facebook and regularly release new material. The band is set to release their sixth studio album in 2021.
