The Villains is an American indie rock band from Nashville, Tennessee composed of lead singer/bassist Matthew Barnes, guitarist/songwriter Joseph Hiers and drummer Vaugh Westbrook. Having self-released multiple singles, EPs and albums, the band has been making music together for the better part of a decade. Their sound blends aspects of blues, folk, swamp rock, and roots rock together to create a unique and dynamic blend of rock & roll.

The Villains have risen the ranks in recent years, performing at the world renowned Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival and have been featured in numerous articles. Their songs have been featured in TV shows like "Orange Is The New Black" and "The Vampire Diaries".
