If you’re looking for the next big thing, Violent Soho are probably not the band for you. Childhood friends from Mansfield, Queensland, the four members honed their talents over close to twenty years making music together. Now a revered live act and standing as one of Australia’s biggest bands, Violent Soho released their fifth LP, Everything is A-OK (2020, I OH YOU Records & Pure Noise Records) with more than a touch of irony. Again debuting at #1 on the ARIA charts, it came at a time where people in the world needed to hear that everyone was in fact OK. After announcing an indefinite hiatus in 2022, Violent Soho performed an incredibly special set on the amphitheatre stage of Splendour in the Grass and farewelled fans with two sold out nights at Fortitude Music Hall in their home town of Brisbane, declaring, ‘this cathedral is my home’. But rest assured this isn’t goodbye forever, it's just ‘until next time’
