Vixen is an all-female American hard rock and glam metal band from St. Paul, Minnesota, active from 1983 to 1989. They are best known for their self-titled 1988 album, which spawned the hit singles "Edge of a Broken Heart" and "Love is a Killer". Their music video for "Edge of a Broken Heart" resulted in heavy rotation on MTV, launching the band to mainstream popularity. The video also featured guest appearances from Jack Wagner, Steve Vai, and Zakk Wylde. Throughout their career, they toured with big name bands such as Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, and Dio. Vixen disbanded on October 1, 1989, but reunited in 2010 and have since toured around the US. In 2017, the band released an album entitled “Rev It Up”, which was their first studio album in 28 years.
