VNV Nation is a British-German electronica and alternative dance duo formed in 1990. Their music is a blend of alternative dance, industrial, synthpop, and trance. Members Ronan Harris (music, lyrics, production) and Mark Jackson (live drums, engineering) are based in London, England and Frankfurt, Germany. VNV Nation has achieved international recognition for their atmospheric, cinematic sound and themes of humanist philosophy. Their albums have reached as high as No. 28 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and have racked up numerous awards and nominations in both Europe and the USA. The band continues to tour extensively and is a popular act on the international electronic music scene.
