We Are the Union is a punk band formed in 2005 in Ypsilanti, Michigan. They have released four full-length albums and several EPs, with their most recent album being 2019's 'You Can't Hide the Sun'. Their sound is strongly rooted in pop-punk, ska, and reggae, yet they have also incorporated a great deal of melody and a unique blend of instrumentation. Many of their songs feature uplifting lyrics that advocate for social justice. The band tours widely both in the United States and internationally, and they have achieved substantial success in the independent punk and ska scenes.
