Robyn Archer is an iconic Australian singer, songwriter, and performer. She began her career in the late 1970s with a debut album titled Robyn Archer in 1979. Throughout her career, Robyn has released 10 albums, had a successful singing career including the popular single 'Eiffel Tower', and written several books, including her 2009 autobiography A Star is Torn. She is best known for the 20-year project Cabaret Diva, which celebrates the tradition of Weimar cabaret, described as "Art songs from the modern cabaret movement". A passionate advocate for the Arts in Australia, Robyn is well-known for her role as Artistic Director of the city of Melbourne’s year-long Centenary Celebrations in 1995. She has also held high-profile roles with the Adelaide Cabaret Festival, Kings Cross Music Festival, and the Perth International Arts Festival. In 2016 she was awarded both an Order of Australia Medal and an honorary doctorate from the University
