Tim Baker is a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter from Newfoundland, Canada. He has a signature sound that blends his traditional home with contemporary folk and indie styles. He is best known for his 2017 EP Break For something Else, which hit number one on the Canadian iTunes singer/songwriter charts. He is also a founding member of the Newfoundland supergroup, The Secrets. In 2018, he released his solo debut album Forever Overhead which received high praise for its lyrical storytelling and combination of folk, classical and indie-pop sounds. His passionate live performances and stripped down songwriting styles have earned him fans from all over the world. In 2019, Tim Baker was nominated for Songwriter of the Year at the Juno Awards, solidifying his position in the Canadian music circle.
