Matias Aguayo is a Chilean-born, Berlin-based musician, singer and DJ. He is associated with the genres of minimal techno, electroclash and microhouse. His career began in the 1990s when he started performing as part of his band, Matias & The ModelTalking Heads. He later began producing and performing electronic music under his own name, releasing a string of EPs, albums and remixes. Since then, Aguayo has toured as a DJ throughout Europe and released a series of records, singles and remixes under such labels as Kompakt, Cómeme and Marco Passarani’s Young Ethic Records. His distinctive, fun and dance-heavy performances have made him a globally recognized figure in the underground music scene.
