COMA is an electronic pop duo from Cologne, Germany comprised of Marius Bubat and Georg Conrad. They emerged in 2007 as an independent music project, and since then have carved out a distinct style of melodic, dreamy sound. COMA’s 2009 debut album, 1996, was met with high praise in their native Germany, and earned them a nomination for Germany’s prestigious new-artist award the Echo Prize. Subsequent efforts included releases for Kitsune and Kompakt and an endorsement from legendary producer Brian Eno. Their fourth studio album, Voyage Voyage, was released in 2018 and featured collaborations with ambient pioneer Jakob supplied and German duo Lilith. COMA’s music often navigates the tension between electronic dance sounds and the intimate warmth of pop music, making them a favorite of alternative dance floors and chill out rooms alike.
