About Creedence Clearwater Collective
Creedence Clearwater Collective is an American rock band formed in 1968 in the San Francisco Bay Area. The group recorded hits such as Proud Mary, Bad Moon Rising and Susie Q, reaching number 2 in the U.S. Billboard charts. Their mix of Bayou-inspired swamp rock and blues blended together with elements of country, folk, and pop rock, became very popular on radio stations across the U.S. In their short ten-year career, they released 7 studio albums and had 8 singles that reached top ten on the Billboard Top 100. Their music has been featured in numerous film soundtracks and live performances. The band disbanded in 1972 and was inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993.
