Fur Patrol is a three-piece alternative rock band from Wellington, New Zealand. Formed in 1999, Fur Patrol released their debut EP titled 'Papa' in 2000, which was followed up by their first full-length album in 2001 titled 'Pet'. The lead single from that album, 'Lydia', went on to become a major hit in Australia, peaking at 2 on the ARIA chart.

Since then, Fur Patrol have gone on to release 3 albums - 'Fur Patrol' (2002), 'Matter Of Consequence' (2004), and 'Lights And Sounds' (2007). Their style has always been distinctively melodic pop-rock with a modern edge and bright harmonies. They've had critical success over the years with praise from the likes of Rolling Stone, The New York Times and Melodica.
