About Mark Thomas
Mark Thomas is an American singer-songwriter from Okolona, Mississippi. After studying music at Harvard University, he began a career writing and performing songs in clubs and on college campuses. His songs blend southern-style blues, rock, jazz and soul, energizing live audiences with lyrics highlighting life and liberty. He has released four albums, his debut, Mark Thomas, in 2006, Up from Down in 2012, You Are Here in 2017, and Unbounded in 2020. Thomas has been featured on NPR and in the documentary Tracing Ancestry: Documenting Our Family History. He continues to write and perform for large audiences and tour regularly, gaining a worldwide following. Thomas was also nominated for Best Rock/Soul Male Artist at the 2018 Hudson Valley Music Awards.
