Kevin Smith is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer who emerged on the folk music scene as a member of the progressive Canadian folk-rock band Kevin Smith and the Changing World in the early 1990s. He has since released six solo studio albums, while performing at numerous stages and festivals across the United States and Canada. His music is influenced by traditional folk, blues and country elements, and has often been compared to the likes of James Taylor, Bob Dylan and Neil Young. He has collaborated with numerous other artists throughout his career, including Emmylou Harris, Shred Kelly and C Bryne. Smith’s latest release, Positively Bright, was well-received by critics and features his signature folk-rock styling. He continues to perform concerts both solo and with collaborations, exhibiting a deep depth of musical skill and influence.
