With his extreme physical modifications and his art performances, Stelarc has performed in over 35 countries and continuously pushes the boundaries of the human body. His work is sometimes likened to body horror, exploring how technology affects bodies and performances. Stelarc's works include robotic exoskeletons, interactive systems, and telerobotic performances. He also works on augmented and virtual reality art, and examines the implications of the rapid advancements in digital media.
