Shlohmo, born Henry Laufer, is an American DJ and producer from Los Angeles, California. He first started off producing low-fidelity, sample-based hip-hop beats at the tender age of 16 as a way to pass the time. After gaining recognition from the underground, he began collaborating with the likes of How to Dress Well and Lil Yachty. His sound has evolved throughout his career, transitioning from lo-fi hip-hop to more moody minimalistic electro-acoustic compositions. He has released two albums, two EPs, as well as various instrumental collections and remixes. Shlohmo has gained further popularity through his live shows, which feature a combination of DJ sets, visuals, and deep sounds. He is currently affiliated with WEDIDIT, where he often curates line-ups for their label nights.
