About De Staat

De Staat is a Dutch alternative rock/progressive pop band from Nijmegen, Netherlands. The band consists of four members; Vedran Mircetic (lead vocals/guitar), Roald van Oosten (vocals/bass guitar), Tim van Delft (drums), and Jop van Summeren (Guitar/vocals). De Staat have been described as a mix of stoner rock, funk-like grooves, coupled with quirky vocal delivery and complex rhythms that people describe as extraordinary.

Having formed in 2006, De Staat quickly made a name for themselves with their creative music influenced by artists from Jimi Hendrix to Danger Mouse. De Staat have released five studio albums, their debut album Wait For Evolution (2008) went gold in the Netherlands and was followed up by their second album Machinery (2011) which saw the band explored brass sections and funk themes in their music.Their following albums,
