About Hue And Cry
Hue and Cry are a Scottish pop group, formed in the 1980s by brothers Pat and Greg Kane. The group are considered pioneers of the British independent music scene and their pioneering use of sampling technology. The brothers started out playing live Jazz music before embracing the New Wave movement, releasing their debut album "Seduced and Abandoned" in 1987.
The band have achieved great commercial and critical success, with hits like "Labour of Love" earning a UK Top 20 and a nomination for a Brit Award in 1990. The band have released eight studio albums with their most recent, "Pocketful of Stones" released in 2018. In addition to the studio albums, they have embarked on a number of successful tours and had a musical produced in the West End.
