About Bill Ryder-Jones
Bill Ryder-Jones is an English composer, multi-instrumentalist, producer and singer-songwriter from West Kirby, Wirral, England. After forming the band The Coral in 1996, he left in 2008 to pursue a solo career. His debut solo album, If..., received critical acclaim upon its release in 2011. Since then he has released various other albums and EPs, including West Kirby County Primary, Yawn, A Bad Wind Blows in My Heart, and Yawn Remix. He has also composed for the BBC drama series Marcella and Man in an Orange Shirt. In 2019, he released his fourth studio album, Holly Electronic Museum. Ryder-Jones's work is primarily composed of an indie/folk/baroque pop sound, incorporating the use of instruments such as violins, pedal steel guitars and Wurlitzer organs.
