Showaddywaddy was a successful British glam rock band active in the 1970s. Formed in Leicester in 1973, the band was known for their vibrant live performances and energetic guitar-driven songs. Their debut single, "Hey Rock And Roll", was released in 1974 and quickly became a hit in the UK singles chart. Throughout the 1970s and early 1980s, Showaddywaddy had considerable success in the UK, selling millions of records and performing extensively all over the country. Showaddywaddy also gained international fame and released several songs that charted outside of the UK, such as "Dancin' Party" and "Under The Moon Of Love". The band ceased to perform in 1986 but reformed in 1998 and still tour regularly.
