Sam Outlaw is a contemporary country and Americana singer-songwriter from Los Angeles, California. He released his critically acclaimed debut album Angeleno in 2015. His unique Los Angeles-based take on classic Americana music propelled him to international acclaim with appearances on Late Night with Seth Meyers, NPR, and a feature in Esquire magazine. He followed the success of his debut with Tenderheart in 2017 and recently released his third album, Samson Pines, in 2021. His music is influenced by Bakersfield, California honky-tonk and traditional Nashville country, combined with instrumentation that includes lap steel and Spanish guitar. A prolific songwriter, his songs have been covered by artists including Miranda Lambert, Kacey Musgraves, and Kip Moore.
