Rainbow Girls is an American roots-based folk trio based in California. Comprised of Erin Chapin, Caitlin Gowdey, and Vanessa May, Rainbow Girls combines elements of folk, country, blues, soul, and rock into their unique form of songwriting. Since forming in 2011, they've released two full-length albums: the 2012 Self-titled debut and 2014's American Dream. Their sound has been noted for its intricacy and blend of folk-infused elements, with influences ranging from classic rock to African polyrhythms. Their live performances are known for their tight harmonies, melodic instrumentation, and engaging energy.
