Los Campesinos! are a six-piece indie pop band from Cardiff, Wales who gained acclaim for their witty and insightful lyrics and melodic, jangly guitar sound. Formed in 2006, the band has four core members: Neil, Gareth, Ellen, and Kim, along with two touring members, Robbie and Jason. The band's debut album, "Hold On Now, Youngster" was released in 2008 and featured their hit single "You! Me! Dancing!" which gained critical acclaim and propelled the album to #76 on the UK Album Chart. Further albums, such as "Hello Sadness", "No Blues" and "Sick Scenes" followed in 2011, 2013 and 2017 respectively. Los Campesinos! have modestly described themselves as ‘noisy pop music’, achieving cult status and occasional chart success with a career that spans over a decade and eight studio albums.
