Eivør is an Icelandic musician and singer-songwriter. Her music style ranges from alternative folk to jazz and rock, and has been described as melancholic and mysterious. She started in local bands as a teenager and released her first solo album in 1998. Since then, she has toured all over Europe, including several Latin countries, and released 7 records and multiple singles. She has collaborated with many renowned artists, including Björk, Damon Albarn, and Jamie Irrepressible, as well as movie score composers. She has won various awards, such as Best Music Award at the Icelandic Music Awards and Grand Prix Prize Winner at the Gunkanjima Film Festival in Japan.
