About Asha
Asha is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer whose music blends elements of funk, Soul, country, blues, and rock music. She released her debut album, Soul Sista, in 2001 which contained the hit single "How Come You Don't Call Me" which earned her a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Album. Asha released numerous other albums throughout her career, including 2004's Evolution, 2010's Jazz at Lighthouse, and 2018's Unexpected. She collaborated with Carl W. Smith on her 2014 album Fire. The album incorporated many different musical genres including jazz and blues and was well-received by critics and fans alike. Asha has also written and produced music for prominent artists including Beyonce, Angie Stone, and Mary J. Blige. Her work has earned her four awards from the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers. Asha continues to tour in support of her latest album.
