Case, also known as Case Woodard, is a Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter from Detroit who is best known for his string of hit singles in the early-2000s. He developed a unique sound that blended R&B, Soul and Hip-Hop, and his debut album, Personal Conversations, was released to critical and commercial success in 1999. He achieved his biggest hit with the single “Missing You,” which featured an infectious melody and lyrics that explored the heartache of missing a loved one. The song reached the top five of the US R&B chart in 2000, and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance. His follow-up albums, Open Letter and The Scarlet Letter, were both successful, and he furthered his success in collaborations with other artists such as 112, Dru Hill, and Lil Kim. Although his career has been relatively quiet since the early-2000s,Case continues to record and tour.
