E-40 is a Bay Area-based rap legend. He was born on November 15, 1967 and has been active in the music industry since the late 1980s. His witty, slang-filled lyrics and pioneering rap style has earned him great acclaim in the hip hop world. He is known for his unique vocal style and the innovative lyrical flow he has created throughout his lengthy career. He has released many well-received albums including the widely popular The Element of Surprise, which debuted at number nine on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums Chart. Additionally, he has collaborated with some of the greatest artists of hip hop, from Tupac and Mobb Deep to 50 Cent and Too Short.
