Ed Cherry is a New York City jazz guitarist, composer, and arranger, well-versed in classic jazz and modern trends. He has performed on dozens of albums, first as a sideman for artists like Dizzy Gillespie, Milt Jackson, Chet Baker, and McCoy Tyner, and later as a leader in his own projects. He has released seven solo albums as a leader, including his latest, “Ed Cherry & His Bebop Party Band”, released in 2017. Cherry has also been an integral part of various festivals and jam sessions, sharing the stage with countless jazz legends. He’s also performed at the Greater Hartford Festival of Jazz and the Jersey Jams. Ed Cherry continues to be an active member of the jazz community in the U.S. and Europe.
