About Extreme

Extreme are an American rock band formed in the mid 1980s from Boston, Massachusetts. The band's original lineup featured vocalist Gary Cherone, guitarist Nuno Bettencourt, bassist Pat Badger, and drummer Paul Geary.
Extreme achieved commercial success with their 1989 album "Pornograffitti", which peaked at number 10 on the Billboard 200 and has sold over 1 million copies in the United States. It spawned the singles "More Than Words" and "Hole Hearted" which both reached number 1 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks, and achieved mainstream pop success as well.
The band released two more albums in the early 90s - "Extreme II: pornograffiti" and "III Sides to Every Story". They also released a handful of singles, but by the mid-90s the majority of the band's lineup had gone their separate ways.
