Father John Misty, real name Josh Tillman, is an American singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. He began his career playing drums in professional touring bands like Saxon Shore and Fleet Foxes before relocating to Seattle and releasing his own music. His first solo album, Fear Fun, was released in 2012. Since then he has released a further four full-length albums; I Love You, Honeybear, Pure Comedy, God's Favorite Customer and recently, the live album 'Off-Key in Hamburg'. He is known for his creative, emotionally-charged lyrics and melody backed by a variety of musical instruments and production techniques. He has collaborated with artists such as Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift and was also a founding member of the side-project ‘Jackpot (band)’.
