Holy Wars is a progressive rock outfit from Austin, Texas that formed in 2002 consisting of vocalist Keelan McKay, guitarist Colin Egan, bassist Steve Kish and drummer Joey Stearns. Drawing on a variety of influences, the band’s sound contains elements of rock, metal, classical, and jazz. Their style is often layered and complex, with intricate guitars, complex synthesizer and piano lines and vocal harmonies. They’ve released five full-length albums including the 2020 release Blood of the Fallen. They’ve also been featured in a number of film soundtracks, including “The Smoker,” a song from their 2009 album Road to Anguish. Holy Wars has built a dedicated following through their intense live shows, delivering a powerful and emotional performance. They’ve performed throughout the United States, at festivals in Europe and Canada, and have supported bands such as the Sword, Mayhem and the Faceless.
