About Kassidy

Kassidy is a Scottish alternative rock band, formed in Glasgow in 2007. They have released three studio albums between 2009 and 2015, and have toured all over Europe and the US. Their sound merges folk, pop, and soul influences with modern production. Led by Barrie-James O'Neill and Lewis Gardiner, the band has drawn comparisons to a variety of artists, such as Arcade Fire, Fleet Foxes, and Elvis Perkins. Their debut album, "Hope Street", earned them critical acclaim and their radio single "I Belong to You" was playlisted by BBC Radio 1. Since then, Kassidy have released two more albums, and have played at renowned festivals including SXSW and South by Southwest. Their 2015 record "Mayday" featured string and horn arrangements, offering a more layered sound that earned them even more fans. To date, Kassidy continue to perform in Europe and the US, while writing and recording new music in their studio in Glasgow.
