Laurie Wright is an American musician based in Portland, Oregon. She is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and visual artist. Wright has become known for her deeply atmospheric soundscapes of alternative folk and Americana music. Her work is often described as an intimate and introspective journey for the listener, combining elements of traditional folk songwriting with soaring vocal harmonies and melodic melodies. With her debut album Breaking Ground (2011), Wright established herself as a distinctive voice in the experimental and underground music scene. Her sophomore release, More Comfort (2014), explored more electronic and experimental sounds while still keeping her roots in folk and Americana influences. Since then she has released a few EPs -- Someplace, Home (2018), and Quarantine Covers (2020), which features reinterpretations of classic covers to keep listeners entertained during the pandemic.
