About Leftfield
Leftfield is an English electronic music group led by Neil Barnes and Paul Daley, formed in 1989. The group is noted for its diverse influences, including dub, techno, dance, and electronica. Their pioneering and influential albums include the Mercury Award-winning ‘Leftism’ (1995) and ‘Rhythm and Stealth’ (1999). Leftfield has collaborated with many other artists including John Lydon, Shara Nelson and Sleaford Mods. Their 1997 hit single ‘Open Up’ featured John Lydon and was their most successful single. Their diverse catalogue of music has been embraced by fans around the world, and they have enjoyed many press awards throughout their career. Their live shows are visceral and intense experiences with vocalist Toni Halliday and keyboardist Neil Barnes providing a powerful performance.
