About Missing Persons
Missing Persons is a new wave band that emerged from Los Angeles in the early 1980s. The group was founded by former Frank Zappa band members, including drummer Terry Bozzio, bassist Patrick O'Hearn, and guitarist Warren Cuccurullo, with striking vocals provided by Terry's then-wife, Dale Bozzio. Known for their distinctive sound that combined punk energy with synthesizer-driven melodies, they gained popularity with hits like "Walking in L.A." and "Words." The band's innovative music videos and Dale's unique fashion sense helped solidify their place in the MTV-driven music culture of the era. Despite disbanding in the late 1980s, Missing Persons has reformed periodically, maintaining a cult following while occasionally releasing new music.
