Nick Waterhouse is an American indie-soul artist from California. He began writing and recording music in his late teens and released his debut self-titled LP in 2012. His music is heavily influenced by traditional soul and blues, and has a distinctive vintage sound. He released his second studio album, Holly, in 2014, followed by two more albums, Never Twice (2016) and Nick Waterhouse (2018). His sound can be described as a blend of modern-day rock-n-roll, surf-rock guitars, and traditional soul elements. Waterhouse has worked with various well-known producers, as well as toured with such acts as The Black Keys and Alabama Shakes. He also produced the all-female rock ensemble The Infamous Belles and frequently collaborates with them on various projects.
