About Robert Forster
Robert Forster is an acclaimed singer-songwriter from Australia. He rose to fame in the late 1970s when he co-founded the post-punk and powerpop band The Go-Betweens with Grant McLennan. The group released several highly acclaimed records and enjoyed a number of college radio hits throughout the United States and Australia. After The Go-Betweens disbanded in 1989, Forster embarked on a successful solo career that continues to this day. His solo albums and EPs are filled with lush, literate melodies featuring smartly produced arrangements and his distinctive vocals. Forster has also branched out, producing and guest appearing on records by various artists. He's collaborated with the likes of The Drones and The James Baker Experience, and has been featured on recordings by Sleater-Kinney and others. His most recent solo album released in 2016, was critically acclaimed, further solidifying his legacy as one of the most accomplished songwriters of his era.
