Stump Valley is an American Indie Folk duo originating in Chattanooga, TN. Made up of Austin Smith and Joanna Scanlan, the two artists have a unique mix of both traditional and contemporary folk music. Since their debut album, 'Red River' in 2016, Stump Valley have gone on to release three additional albums in the following years. With their music, they explore stories of travel and love, as well as creating atmosphere sonically. Their most recent release, titled 'Music For Mourning' is out now, and features a combination of subtle electronic elements and raw folk ballads. Stump Valley have been gaining recognition and appreciation worldwide, and have recently been featured in influential publications such as Paste Magazine.
