The Christians are an English pop and soul band, active for over 30 years. The group formed in 1985, composed of vocalists Garry Christian, Russel Christian, Roger Christian, and bass guitarist Henry Priestman. The band achieved national success with their 1987 single "Forgotten Town". The track reached the no.5 position on the UK Singles Chart.

The Christians' self-titled debut album released in 1988, selling more than 1.5 million copies and was certified platinum. The album achieved numerous awards and accolades; BRIT Award for 1989's "Best British Breakthrough Act", and the 1989 Ivor Novello Award.

Since their formation the band have released numerous hits including “Hooly Hobey”, “Ideal World”, and “Born Again”, and released nine studio albums over the course of their career. In 2009, they were inducted into the Lancashire Music Hall of Fame
