The Hot 8 Brass Band is an 8-piece New Orleans brass band that comprises of professional musicians that have been playing since 1995. The band is originally from the Treme neighbourhood of New Orleans and has gone on to become one of the world’s most renowned street bands. Their high-energy live performances have earned them a loyal following and acclaim from many music critics. They have collaborated with many big names in the music business including Moby, Erykah Badu, T.I., Dead Prez, Mos Def and many more. In 2006, the band released their debut studio album, ‘Rock With The Hot 8’, and since then have consistently released singles and albums. The band’s sound is heavily influenced by jazz, funk and hip-hop, and they feature regularly at music festivals around the world.
